hohohoho...
It was a very excited, scary, great experience i could say..
excited: cos its my 1st time
scary: cos no senior around, if got collapse? die!!
great: cos u have to handle everything
early morning : counted cd drugs, do trend care (annoyed by e fact tt trendcare has to be + hr, she allocate her hours among the 3 team when she didnt help.)
got call from lab:
shin: good morning, ward 9b
Lab staff: morning, calling from lab, re: Shmg urine result
shin: hold on please.. staff, we dont have this pt on our list. i think she is supposed to be transfer to our ward, but was cancelled.
lab staff: no no!! staff, this specimen was despatched from ur side 9b/49
shin: ok, just to let u know that we dont have tis pt here in our ward. but if u want me to take down the result, i will take it.
lab staff : no no, its not that i want a.. the specimen was sent from ur side, u have to take down the result
shin: (annoyed) ok fine!!!
lab staff: result.........
called ward 5, to inform re result (.....)
given iv till 9 am, trying to follow rounds, at the same time try to lighten workload from each staff.
10 o'clock Jas gone for break, i asked her to ask fiona along.
at 10.30 Sis.K, why no junior go for break?
???? huh? no junior gone for break. ( i tot i only need to remind sn to go for break, forgotten abt juniors)
some ppl grumbling that no one helping them
its super difficult to be multi task as a N I/C
the workload tt u r suppose to cover is alot.
staffs will just refer to u for any reference, N I/C has to be the resourcer
however, i still managed to enjoy myself eventhough on and off scolding( mumbling) around.
1 admission, 1 transfer in.
I just have tt power to attract ppl in..
i managed to survived :)
