Debunking myths about nursing:

29/07/09
1. Nurses do all the dirty work, they only clean up after patient.
2. Anyone can become a nurse, since the job doesnt require much skills.
3. Nurses are like Dr's handmaidens, they only take instruction from Drs.

30/07/09
1. Nursing is a dead end job.
2. You have to start young, if you want to be a nurse.
3. Nurses work long hours. There's little time for personnal pursuits or family life.

31/07/09
1.Nursing is a proffesion for women, it's not suitable for man.
2. Nursing is tiring and manually laborious.
3. Nurses come into frequent contact with ppl who are ill. I don't want to put my health at risk.


Please spare us a thought...
Aren't we human beings just like u?
Aren't we a daughter, son, sister to our dear ones?
Without us, who will take care of you when u fall sick?
Without us can Dr carry out their own orders?
Without us, will ur family dare to clean up for u?
